I can’t believe I’m saying this but we arrived into Berlin, Germany and all of us were so excited to see the rain again (mostly Keira). The weather in Croatia was beautiful, but it’s definitely nice to be back in the 70s.
Our place in Berlin was amazing…on the 10th floor of the Sony Center in the middle of Potsdamer Platz. It was an incredible place to kick off so many explorations across Berlin…especially to Cadenβs new favorite, currywurst! Pretty sure heβs convinced that currywurst for breakfast, lunch & dinner makes perfect sense, at least while in Germany.

We did manage to find our way into our first museum of the trip, the Pergamom. The Market Gate of Miletus (pictured below) was reconstructed from ruins found on the Anatolian Peninsula (modern day Turkey) and was built in the 2nd century…and for those of you wondering what this was built for, it was simply the entrance to a market.

The deeper we went into the Pergamom the older the artifacts kept getting, and by the time we left we were walking through Babylonian relics from over 4000 years ago!
…back out on the streets of Berlin

After all this big city stuff, we decided to retreat to our forest roots and checked out a place called Waldhochseilgarten which literally translates to Forest High Rope Garden. The picture below doesn’t do it any justice but we all spent around 3 hours climbing, zip-lining and balancing through the trees…all self-guided. It was amazing! Sorry about only having one pic, but we couldn’t take our cameras or phones up there with us.

New Passions
Keira also found 2 new passions while in Berlin, one good and one I’m not so sure about…
I. Photography

II. Capuccino

Auf Wiedersehen Berlin!

Currywurst is steamed, then fried pork sausage cut into bite-sized chunks and seasoned with curry ketchup & topped with curry powder…usually with the added bonus of fries or fresh bread!
