Pest-Buda

Budapest has been an incredible first stop on our adventure around the world and we’ve been really fortunate to spend the past few days enjoying this amazing city with some friends from Camas. (thanks Borsts!)

A long time ago our kiddos were nothing but smiles and hugs…

But more recently they’ve been expressing their feelings about each other in different ways…

Yes, Tara & I are working through this transition with the kids one step at a time, but thankfully almost every hour in Europe is happy hour. On the upside for those of you who’ve been worried about Keira’s rough start with losing her luggage, it finally emerged…unfortunately not before her Budapest shopping spree.

We’ll be heading off to Croatia in the morning, but before we leave here are a few more pics of our time here in Hungary.

St. Stephen’s Basilica, from the bottom

St. Stephen’s Basilica, from the top

Parliament by day…
Parliament by night (yes, this is the other side of the building)

Entrance to the Szechenyi Thermal Baths (inside view at the top)

Matthias Church
(everyone loves an annoying dad with a camera)

Staggering lack of fountains in Budapest (sorry Chris)

And finally, there was this…

(a traditional Hungarian breakfast)

See you in Croatia!
