Midnight in Prague

We’re back in Prague and excited to settle in to our home away from home. Tara is on a mission to track down every possible park in the city (side note; there are lots), Caden has gone on a few solo runs including a 4-miler up Petrin Hill and Keira has been determined to get back to the Aquapalace.

There is no question that Prague is beautiful by day, but Prague at night is something special. If you stay out late enough the daytime hordes of people begin to fade away and the city takes on a whole new atmosphere. Here are a few shots from my night tour with Keira.

We took in a few new sights, restaurants and breweries that I’d recommend if you’re ever in the area. We found incredible Mexican food at Las Adelitas (best mole we’ve had since living in California) where Caden may have developed a slight addiction to Pina Coladas. We also tried out the Prague Beer Museum where the choose your own beer flights were amazing and the food wasn’t bad either.

Yes, we’ve found lots of great food and drinks here in Prague, but luckily there are also some incredible options to dust off the laziness…

A New Discovery

So I’m not sure how well this is going to work…but I found a way to link videos into our blog. We haven’t taken many (mostly because it seems to be a trigger for the kids going ballistic), but here are a few from along the way.

Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
Sunset in Zadar, Croatia
Beautiful street music in Dresden, Germany
The Aquapalace in Prague, Czech Republic
take two…
Neuschwanstein Castel in Schwangau, Germany
Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany
Red Bull Arena in Salzburg, Austria
Wolfgangsee Lake in St. Gilgen, Austria
Luis Fonsi concert in Prague, Czech Republic

My apologies for the delayed video dump (as well as the zero-rhythm arm waving from the lady in front of me)…still learning how to use this site. Anyway, we’re off for the night train to Poland!

  1. No puns again?
    What is going on?
We loved the videos and the pictures as always.
I personally am missing the food pictures…especially the dessert ones.
Keira….can you help me out with that?
Caden…any more famous athletes you want to cozy up to and get a picture with?
Can’t wait to see your next post.
Seriously living through you guys as my vacation consists of giant pizza and mom’s pool…which are amazing….but?!?
    Love you all.

  2. Sorry…I took all mom’s words.
She is sitting next to me while we read this one.
Mom LOVED the water spiral thing, whirlpool thingy…she wants to do it.
(I am typing for her right now.)
Mom said that the water features have all been amazing…the bridge over the water (video), the lake in Austria and the night singing in Germany.
She said that is enough now and I can stop typing for her.
    Now she is laughing.
“Oh dear God!” is what she said while reading this.
    “Love you all!!”

  4. From the pictures, your trip looks amazing! Thank you for sharing with us along the way. Our 3 kids would like to join you if you return to Aquapalace (although maybe not for the Vortex).

It’s all so beautiful and wondrous and you are all so engaged in this whirlwind adventure it’s intoxicating even without my share of the beer. Keep the fun happening and the posts coming.
